I can't find the flag "dvdnav" in use.desc or use.local.desc
(or in the IUSE  for the ebuild), but the DEPEND section has:

dvdnav? ( >=media-libs/libdvdnav-0.1.9 )

(which appears already covered by the dvd flag)

Looks okay to just drop this line the next time
the ebuild gets updated.

For bonus points, could someone explain why the dvd
flag acts so much different in vlc than mplayer.

I think I prefer the vlc approach (the dvd flag
automatically pulling in everything) as opposed to
the mplayer approach, where don't get much without
the dvdread flag, too (always like to see more
consistency). Thanks.

By the way, use.local.desc still shows a dvdread
flag for vlc (which doesn't exist in vlc).

i can't really explain why there are different behaviours for the dvd handling, maybe chris can say some words about this. however, i've removed the needless line from the ebuild. i've also removed the unused local useflag dvdread for vlc. thanks
