why don't you use stable marked packages?? Markus ok, I've succesfully installed util-linux-2.12p, so the problem is somewhere else. Could you post the exact error and you emerge info output? Markus, My Apple G5 needs the ~PPC tree to build which picks up this version of util-linux. I have no direct way of posting to bugzilla so I'll need to dump the error to a file and do some swizzling. Will have it here shortly. Howdy... I scaned the ppc area and found the packages that I needed have been promoted from ~ppc to ppc so I removed ~ppc use flag and got an overall good compile. Marking this as resolved / wontfix because until this hits production it's really not an issue. Also, Markus tested and was not able to reproduce which means it is probably specific to my machine. Joey If you use ~ppc/ppc then this is a ppc and not ppc64 problem. Closing now I missed typed, I use ppc64 now instead of ppc64 ~ppc64 |
