Same probleme here :) same here, my L1925 switches to power saving mode and the only thing to get it work is to plug the analog cable and switch to analog output. But it's no solution at all. Could you check if -O2 is enough to ensure a correct kernel module? I'll force -O1 on the stable ebuild as cautelative measure if isn't I am having the same problem on my amd64 system, also on a Radeon 9200 (rv280). Analog output works, but DVI does not. There are no errors reported, and the log even shows that the monitor (an LCD screen) is being detected correctly via DDC, including the correct native resolution, etc. But all I get is a blank screen, as if the monitor were in power-save mode. If I use x.org's open-source radeon driver, DVI works just fine. I don't think my logs would show anything not shown in the attachments from the original reporter, so I won't bother adding mine. If anybody wants more details on my system, please ask. Same problem, but with ati-drivers-8.10.19 and xorg-x11-6.8.2-r1 on 2.6.11-gentoo-r3 kernel. No matter how I do configure X, only analog display is active. Switching monitor (LCD EIZO) to DVI makes it 'suspend' like there was no signal. Couldn't find any solution for this, tried to recompile ati-drivers with different flags. This really hurts, as I have to downgrade xorg now. *sigh* It's the same here even with the newest ati-drivers-8.12. I have spotted the problem in every X.Org version from 6.8 above. Last combination that worked fine for me was X.Org 6.7 and the last ati-driver-3. Please verify with 8.16 series driver. Yes, 8.16.20 driver solved for me this problem at last. After emerging I just used fglrxconfig - no need to play with setup of various options like MonitorLayout, which had constantly been of no use. Tv-out works without problems as well. Garrison (and everyone else), could you confirm this solves your problem? Sorry Joshua, I opted to switch to a GeForce card so I am no longer using ati-drivers Thanks for letting me know :) I'll mark this as fixed unless someone else tells me otherwise. |
