Trying to install imagemagick (6.1.8.8) fails becaust tar.gz can not be found on any server. Renamed the ebuild to imagemagick-6.1.8.9.ebuild (that's the latest version on official imagemagick-ftp-server), and the fpx-Patch to imagemagick-6.1.8.9-fpx.patch. 

That way it compiles and works excellent.

1. emerge media-gfx/imagemagick ( ~arch - Keyword set)

Actual Results:  
Tries to download source but gets 404 Error

Expected Results:  
Download the source and compile ;-)

confirmed. I did the same thing, works dandy.

i've put imagemagick's sources to distfiles-local, files should already hit the mirrors
