This better abstracts multilib configurations across different archs.
We need to be sure this works properly with the new ati-drivers, since they provide both 64-bit and 32-bit stuff. gerrynjr had a testing ebuild for the ati drivers, IIRC... It works correctly with the nvidia-glx bump that I just made (which installs both 32 and 64bit when using the 2005.0 profile), so assuming the ati-drivers are installed properly, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't... gerrynjr: Can you point me to the ebuild you're using, so I can test it out... you also may want to look at the latest nvidia-glx bump to see how I handled it installing both 32bit and 64bit libs. Jeremy, the ati-drivers in portage already does the amd64 stuff ati-drivers-8.8.25 was bad. ati-drivers-8.8.25-r1 works correctly. Created attachment 49128 [details, diff]

Yet another update... should be the last one... I forgot that -d still returns
true with symlinks to dirs... also, moved nvidia stuff after the GL_LOCAL test
as we don't want to do it unless we have that implementation.
