I wasn't able to reproduce it locally, but with ebuildtester:

ebuildtester --update \

Since it seems to only happen on “unstable”, I guess some newer version of a library causes this.

I have reported the issue upstream¹ and will disable the tests for now, since I have no idea what's wrong.
