Description Alain 2005-01-17 11:31:59 UTC
I get errors when I try to emerge kdenetwork as ROOT, with userpriv and usersandbox in make.conf. Dependency app-crypt/qca-tls-1.0 is causing the problem:

++ -c -pipe -Wall -W -O2 -D_REENTRANT -fPIC -DQCA_PLUGIN -DOSSL_097 -DQT_NO_DEBUG -DQT_THREAD_SUPPORT -DQT_PLUGIN -mcpu=i586 -march=i586 -mmmx -m3dnow -O3 -pipe -fomit-frame-pointer -I/usr/qt/3/mkspecs/linux-g++ -I/var/tmp/portage/qca-tls-1.0/work/qca-tls-1.0 -I/usr/qt/3/include -o qca-tls.o qca-tls.cpp
rm -f libqca-tls.so
g++ -Wl,-rpath,/usr/qt/3/lib -shared -o libqca-tls.so qca-tls.o -L/usr/qt/3/lib -lssl -lcrypto -lqt-mt -lpthread
>>> Test phase [not enabled]: app-crypt/qca-tls-1.0
touch: cannot touch `.tested': Permission denied

When userpriv and usersandbox are removed from make.conf the problem is solved.

You can find the details in the following forum post:

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put userpriv and usersandbox in make.conf
2. Emerge kdenetwork as root

Comment 1 Gustavo Felisberto (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-17 11:56:52 UTC
I cannot duplicate this. Please do emerge sync and try again because i updated the stable version on x86.
Comment 2 Alain 2005-01-18 01:39:22 UTC
To recreate the situation I have put back userpriv and usersandbox in make.conf.
Then I did a emerge --oneshot app-crypt/qca-tls, which succesfully completed.
So, the problem is gone indeed.
