Description Ovidiu Bivolaru 2005-01-17 07:19:04 UTC
I do use Gentoo Linux 2004.3 on an iBook. After I've upgraded from kernel 2.6.9 to 2.6.10-r1 (development-sources) and reinstalled orinoco driver, the module airport.ko doesn't exist anymore. The orinoco-0.15_rc2-r1 is building airport.ko, but it doesn't install it.

I'll take a look at it tonight.

Hi,

 I've forgot to send you a notice that I've fixed the problem. Sorry. Just add the airport(net:) in MODULES_NAMES:

 pkg_setup() {
        MODULE_NAMES="hermes(net:)
+                               airport(net:)
                                orinoco(net:)
                                orinoco_nortel(net:)

Comment 3 Henrik Brix Andersen 2005-02-17 23:42:45 UTC
This was not fixed in portage yet - the fix is not that trivial.
Comment 4 Ovidiu Bivolaru 2005-02-18 06:39:44 UTC
airport is available only for Linux ppc/ppc64 arch ? that's why it is not trivial? Please let me know if I can help. I will certainly test it.
