to enable torsmo to render truetype fonts it has to be compiled with xft support, which is off per default.
I changed the ebuild to take notice of the truetype use flag and set the configure switch accordingly.
see attached ebuild

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge torsmo-0.18
2. set use_xft yes in your ~/.torsmorc 
3. start it

Actual Results:  
it complains about: torsmo: Xft not enabled 

Expected Results:  
it should work :)
