USE=bitmap-fonts emerge xorg-x11. See comment #1. to build the bitmapped fonts should be the default (especially when its meant as upgrade of the xfree package which has them built by default) the use flag should be no-bitmap-fonts Yes, it should be. That's why it's in most of the profiles. grep bitmap /etc/make.profile/make.defaults |
