emerge -uv gtk+ fails


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
emerge -uv gtk+

Actual Results:  
The emerge fails with

grep: /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la: No such file or
directory
/bin/sed: can't read /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libstdc++.la: No
such file or directory

Expected Results:  
emerge should have been successfull

I've no /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4 directory since gcc-3.3.5
replaced gcc-3.3.4 a couple of days ago.

Note : I had to manually cleanup /etc/ld.so.conf and /etc/env.d/05gcc which
still had references to the gcc-3.3.4 directory.
