which package did you use for the kernel? gentoo-dev-sources? normally, you don't need to merge anything beside alsa-utils, because the alsa source files are already in the kernel. 2.6.10 should NOT be unmasked on amd64. There are problems with evms/raid stablility. 1.0.8 should be unmasked when 2.6.10 is unmasked... blubb: it is still recommended to use alsa-drivers over the ones in the kernel as they are more up to date since changes get into the kernel much slower. resolving invalid since g-d-s is still ~amd64. |
