those mips-headers appear to be pulling in linux-info eclass as opposed to kernel-2 eclass. however the ones in the tree are actually set to inherit kernel still. Can you attach the ebuilds which you used? Has this been solved now? I assume so. Plese re-open if not. |
Both mips-headers-2.4.21-r3 and mips-headers-2.4.22-r1 (latest mips and ~mips) fail to emerge. They fail as follows: # emerge mips-headers Calculating dependencies ...done! >>> emerge (1 of 1) sys-kernel/mips-headers-2.4.21-r3 to / >>> md5 src_uri ;-) linux-2.4.21.tar.bz2 >>> md5 src_uri ;-) mipscvs-2.4.21-20030803.diff.bz2 * Determining the location of the kernel source code * Unable to find kernel sources at /usr/src/linux * This package requires Linux sources. * Please make sure that /usr/src/linux points at your running kernel, * (or the kernel you wish to build against). * Alternatively, set the KERNEL_DIR environment variable to the kernel sources location !!! ERROR: sys-kernel/mips-headers-2.4.21-r3 failed. !!! Function get_version, Line 279, Exitcode 0 !!! Cannot locate Linux sources at /usr/src/linux !!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message. Our headers appear to be setup in a way similar to the linux-headers package. If someone from the kernel team could take a look and make sure we're not doing something dumb it would be appreciated, this is pretty critical.
