This package currently exists in ::guru[1] if needed (as sys-kernel/xow, but I'd argue it should be games-util/ like xpadneo and xboxdrv to match) May alternatively want to consider said xpadneo if have bluetooth, I have the official dongle but I prefer to use that myself. [1] https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Project:GURU I don't have bluetooth on my main computer and prefer using the wireless dongle as it tends to be more stable. The GURU project actually seems interesting, though I don't fully understand how to access it after reading the page. Is there some overlay that I can add to my portage for this? This is a fine alternative for me if I can emerge it easily that way. Just trying to prevent having to constantly manually compile and install packages every time I recompile my kernel. If you have eselect-repository installed, then "eselect repository enable guru", or for direct git links: https://github.com/gentoo-mirror/guru.git https://anongit.gentoo.org/git/repo/proj/guru.git I haven't tested the xow ebuild from there but hope it works for you. It would be nice if it was moved to ::gentoo eventually, some ::guru packages do now and then. This has been replaced by xone. |
