This is another one of those frustrating ones where we can't quite figure out where it's come from -- the issue is that one of the binpkgs didn't get rebuilt _at some point_ and this is just a symptom.

Things are generally better in dev-ml/* now, so it's possible that this shouldn't happen anymore now I've done a large cleanup too. 

This shouldn't happen if you dump the binpkgs and try again - but there IS a problem which caused your binpkgs to be inconsistent.

I just can't debug what from here - it's possible/likely a random dep failed and the binpkgs didn't get rebuilt because perhaps the deps were broken for an extended period?

I'll CC dev-portage in case there's some input though.
