Description Matthias Gottschalk 2005-01-11 10:24:07 UTC
I wanted to get detailed information for the gentoo package:
dev-util/cvsweb-1.112
When I checked the referenced homepage the server response was "404 ~zeller not found". It seems as if MR Zeller has finished his study in Heilbronn and the homedir was removed.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge -s dev-util/cvsweb
2.
3.

Actual Results:
*  dev-util/cvsweb
      Latest version available: 1.112
Latest version installed: [ Not Installed ]
Size of downloaded files: 36 kB
      Homepage: http://stud.fh-heilbronn.de/~zeller/cgi/cvsweb.cgi
Description: WWW interface to a CVS tree
      License: BSD

Result was fine, but information about homepage was outdated.

Expected Results:
Report a valid link to a software developer group like
'http://www.freebsd.org/projects/cvsweb.html'

Created attachment 50490 [details, diff]
updates HOMEPAGE and SRC_URI

This fixes the link for the homepage. SRC_URI was changed to fetch from a
mirror as I could not find an official tarball on the net.
Comment 2 Matthias Gottschalk 2005-02-05 23:04:01 UTC
I applied the patch and did the following retest:
 - emerge -s is now showing a valid homepage with detailed information about cvsweb
 - emerge -f cvsweb did not show any problems.

Sorry for the delay - fixed in CVS.
