Should be fixed with merged PR

Comment 2 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2021-03-16 10:45:28 UTC
An up to date live ebuild is nice, but not really a fix here.
Comment 3 Sergiy Borodych 2021-03-16 10:51:45 UTC
Yes, you are right. Sorry for that status update.
I'm not sure if I release ebuild for the beta in the following days.
Maybe later.
Comment 4 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2021-03-16 11:59:06 UTC
Think of this as a long-term bug that can be closed once the last package version blocking gnome2-wnck cleanup is gone.
Comment 5 Andreas Sturmlechner gentoo-dev 2021-06-20 15:34:20 UTC
Hm, there seems to be not much going on in the repository since then. Maybe it makes sense to check how good the beta or a snapshot works by now.

Why was this excellent player excluded from the portage tree? If this was about extra deprecated dependencies you could have just removed them, not an entire package!

Fixed version of the ebuild

Removed deprecated depedencies, player works like a charm! Please bring it back, there're no alternatives.
