When I write a blog entry using gnome-blog all scandinavian letters (öäå) are converted to nonsense like ö, ä and Ã¥. Every time I add a blog entry, I have to go manually fix those letters. I'm using utf-8 locale, the blog web page (blogspot) encoding is set to utf-8 and my browser (firefox) is set to automagically find the correct character encoding for webpages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. write a blog entry using gnome-blog 2. use scands in blog text (åäö) 3. post the entry Actual Results: UTF-8 scands are converted to nonsense (maybe to iso8859-1?) Expected Results: It should send the blog entry using correct character encoding You will probably need to check/file this upstream at bugs.gnome.org though Gnome-blog release is from oct 2003. If you file a bug upstream, please post the link back here..we can then follow it and get a patch into our tree if the problem is fixed. Filed this bug at bugzilla.gnome.org http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163657 Thanks, will keep an eye on it |
