Nuv Export 2005 01 06
This is the ebuild, found at the above URL... just in case I accidentally
delete it :)
Well, that may have been a bit pre-mature. I started playing around with actually using nuvexport... and it is not working like I expected. I don't think its an ebuild problem, but I intend to figure out what is going on :) I make comments to fast, there is definatly nothing wrong with the ebuild. Nuvexport simply does not want to export an mpeg2 -> dvd format. Everything else works. Maybe its a nuvexport issue, I'm still looking into it with the author. nuvexport depends on transcode being compiled with a use flag of "mjpeg", but these sorts of dependencies are not supported. I am going to add an einfo line about the possible required transcode use flags and re-submit. Sorry for all the comments and changes. Since portage doesn't currently provide a way for having USE dependancies, I have included an einfo warning about emerging transcode with varios codec support. The new and improved ebuild is attached. Created attachment 48150 [details]
Updated with einfo output
Here is the updated ebuild with the einfo output about transcode's USE flags.
way way way too complicated. I've written a new ebuild. That doesn't need all that mess. I contacted kanaka about it. taking care of this. fixed in CVS Does this mean the newer version of nuvexport should be available in portage at some point? I would love to see how the ebuild was supposed to have been handled, so that if I work on any in the future I can do it the right way :) |
