Erratum: I was indeed able to create some pdf. I think it depends on the source and/or performed operations. The error message is always there, though.. After upgrading to app-text/qpdf-10.2.0, app-text/pdfarranger-1.7.0 is no longer able to save pdf files, throwing a message "only pages can be inserted". Downgrading to qpdf-10.1.0 or qpdf-10.0.4 the problem disappears.
