This is due to the way ./configure is called from the ebuild. It is passed the --disable-default-binary argument, which - naturally - also disables the installation of default-binary man pages. This is done to allow having multiple versions of the gimp installed at the same time (like 1.2.x, 2.0.x). I suggest closing as NOTABUG. Thanks for the explanation |
