Hey

I have trying to install rtcw 1.41 patch, rtcw demo mp, rtcw test2 mp, quake3 (*.run files) and i get an error: "error in check sums" ? i dont know what is wrong coz the same files i can install under slackware or freebsd 
ps: my friend who use gentoo too have the same problem as me
ps2: im sure those files are not corrupted coz i have them on cd and i have downloaded it many times.
ps3: i installed gentoo from stage 1 then from stage 3 and i have still the same prob.

any idea?

If you aren't using the ebuild, then why are you filing a bug?

i dont know...im new in gentoo and i had this truble at start with gentoo so i thought its mayby bug...anyway where i should ask for help then?

You should use the ebuilds or you should go to the actual author.  In the case of both rtcw and quake3, that will be id software, who does not provide support for the Linux binaries.
