I was thinking, since all the ebuilds have a changelog telling why the new
ebuild it would be nice to make use of it. maybe a new flag for emerge that
would have portage take a lok at the changelog and tell you why it wants to
update the package. possibly it could look at the version you have installed and
the newest version and tell you a short and dirty on why the changes. would be
especially useful on those that are security upgrades.
