Maintainer thinks that elog postinst warning about it is enough? https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=84bd9686689ebbd57daff119d52b853c319c2881 Saw the updated RDEPEND and now the warning. It is regrettable that the project completely dropped Pulseaudio support, but I suppose that Gentoo's handling is acceptable. Recommend closing as invalid *** Bug 773631 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** After checking the Pulseefects website, I have to agree, they intend to only support pipewire. At least they say they will support the Pulseeffect 4 series for a while. |
Starting from version 5.0.0, Pulseeffects has completely replaced pulseaudio support with pipewire. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Update media-sound/pulseeffects to 5.0.0 2. Try starting Actual Results: pulseeffects does not start without pipewire configured Expected Results: >=media-sound/pulseeffects-5.0.0 should depend on pipewire instead of pulseaudio
