4.0.5 indeed contains the fix for freedb.org shutdown -> gnudb.gnudb.org lookup https://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/994 https://github.com/audacious-media-player/audacious-plugins/commit/33edaf1a021bc466aea7c6b0bfdd624b951a15ab The bug has been referenced in the following commit(s): https://gitweb.gentoo.org/repo/gentoo.git/commit/?id=f83775b6765d1850a193db5222b57cd244b5a4c3 commit f83775b6765d1850a193db5222b57cd244b5a4c3 Author: Andreas Sturmlechner <asturm@gentoo.org> AuthorDate: 2021-01-23 14:12:53 +0000 Commit: Andreas Sturmlechner <asturm@gentoo.org> CommitDate: 2021-01-23 14:13:40 +0000 media-plugins/audacious-plugins: Move from freedb.org to gnudb.gnudb.org Upstream commit 33edaf1a021bc466aea7c6b0bfdd624b951a15ab See also: https://redmine.audacious-media-player.org/issues/994 Bug: https://bugs.gentoo.org/766315 Package-Manager: Portage-3.0.14, Repoman-3.0.2 Signed-off-by: Andreas Sturmlechner <asturm@gentoo.org> ...3.ebuild => audacious-plugins-3.10.1-r4.ebuild} | 4 ++- ...dacious-plugins-3.10.1-cddb-use-gnudb.org.patch | 30 ++++++++++++++++++++++ 2 files changed, 33 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) - You built media-plugins/audacious-plugins with IUSE=cdda? - Any output when you start audacious from your favorite terminal emulator? I started the program from a terminal and loaded an audio CD. It listed a couple errors about cddb failure to connect, then started playing without title/track info. So, I stopped and loaded a different CD. The same boxes started popping up, then it started working. So, it was something hindering my connection to the server. It wasn't audacious's fault. Thank you for responding. I will try to close this bug since there's no problem |
