The installation fails because a file is missing.

I'm reassigning this to Jason.  It WORKSFORME perfectly on amd64 and x86, so I'm not exactly sure where the problem is on this, but it seems it is something local to your system.

The file "update" is not missing, but couldn't be run.
Removing and reinstalling the "emul-linux-*" packages
resolved the problem. It is installed now.
