tools/wrc/wrc -u -o dlls/gdi32/gdi32.res [...] -pthread [...] tools/wrc/wrc: invalid option -- 'p' tools/wrc/wrc: invalid option -- 't' Can't reproduce but figure this -pthread is coming from pkg-config and gdi32 has: EXTRAINCL = $(FREETYPE_CFLAGS) $(FONTCONFIG_CFLAGS) What does this return for you (checking all 4 just in case): pkg-config --cflags freetype2 pkg-config --cflags fontconfig i686-pc-linux-gnu-pkg-config --cflags freetype2 i686-pc-linux-gnu-pkg-config --cflags fontconfig There has been similar issues in the past with gtk3 returning -pthread and wine-staging was patching it[1], but gtk3 patchset is disabled so the patch is gone. *** Bug 766764 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I can confirm it is a bug that is still presenti in 6.0 version: https://bugs.gentoo.org/766764 Iade I can confirm, its present in 6.0 (In reply to Ionen Wolkens from comment #2) > https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/blob/8dc124ce70ca7614ab17fa1cfeee32de281206b4/patches/uxtheme-GTK_Theming/0002-makefiles-Only-apply-non-include-path-EXTRAINCL-flag.patch In case it wasn't clear, for those having problems, the formerly used upstream wine-staging patch I linked is usable as a user patch in /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/wine-staging/ as a workaround for now. While it was intended to fix an issue with no-longer-used GTK3 theming support, it also work for similar issues. But I still wonder in what situation this -pthread exists on others, I can only reproduce if I add -pthread to a pkgconfig file myself (like freetype2.pc's cflags), otherwise never ran into this. Just wanted to add that app-emulation/wine-vanilla-6.0.1 failed the same way as this for me just now, so it looks like it's not only wine-staging at least anymore. I haven't tried the patch but suspect it will work fine based on all the diagnostic output I've seen. Same issue here for 6.0.1 pkg-config returns `-pthread` as discussed in the topic: ``` ➜ wine-vanilla pkg-config --cflags freetype2 -I/usr/include/freetype2 -I/usr/include/harfbuzz -I/usr/include/glib-2.0 -I/usr/lib64/glib-2.0/include -I/usr/include/sysprof-4 -pthread ``` Putting patch into user patch folder actually fixes issue too: ``` /etc/portage/patches/app-emulation/wine-vanilla/0002-makefiles-Only-apply-non-include-path-EXTRAINCL-flag.patch ``` I think(?) this is obsolete, I tried to reproduce again like I did back on comment #10 but it seems fine with wine-* >=7 (either got fixed in 7 or I'm overlooking something). Still don't know where this -pthread was really coming from though, could only ever reproduce by adding the -pthread manually to .pc files and afaik most users weren't hitting it. Either way, please open a new bug if this happen again and can will look further then. |
