Probably something wrong with gnome3 and dbus as shutdown takes more than two minutes if you use autologin from GDM.  

When you run gdm with autologin resize isn't working. You need to restart dbus for the user *which logs you out* and then resize is working. clipboard and other stuff work.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Change etc/gdb/custom.conf to enable autologin
2. resize not working
3. logout  and login via gdm.
4. resize working

I'd like to ask you to please attach an emerge --info of vdagent and a bit more information about the host and guest system, and to reopen the bug.
