Just had a look at this .. could it be that clamav is not installed (correctly) in the chroot / tinderbox ?

it installs fine here.

It fails at recent image (17.1_no-multilib_hardened-20210307-142948) too - will attach files soon.

Ok this was actually simply an oversight .. it seems Makefile.PL looks for clamav binary before compiling. moved app-antivirus/clamav from RDEPEND to DEPEND so that clamav is definitely installed.

I am pretty sure this solves the problem, but please let me know if it still persists.
