It'd be cool if ebuilds automatically sent bug reports to thier maintainers or just bugzilla when 
they fail

Don't want to do this.  Sometimes it's user error or some config issue that's
not our fault and I don't want bugzilla swamped with these types of things.  The
personal touch is needed.
