Description Ulrich Serfling 2004-12-29 00:44:41 UTC
When I try to "emerge -upvD world" the procedure fails complaining that 'there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=dev-libs/fftw-2.1.3"'.
Further issue is:
!!! Problem with ebuild sci-mathematics/octave-2.1.57-r1
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

Changing ">=dev-libs/fftw-2.1.3" to ">=sci-libs/fftw-2.1.3" fixed the problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -upvD world
2. (emerge -pv depclean yields the same error)
3.

Actual Results:
root@localhost# emerge -upvD world

These are the packages that I would merge, in order:

Calculating world dependencies \
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy ">=dev-libs/fftw-2.1.3".

!!! Problem with ebuild sci-mathematics/octave-2.1.57-r1
!!! Possibly a DEPEND/*DEPEND problem.

!!! Depgraph creation failed.
root@localhost#

Expected Results:
The 'emerge -upvD world' command should have shown which packages to update.
