Description Marius Mauch (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-27 08:15:17 UTC
Please don't recommend qpkg anymore, I *will* remove it in the next gentoolkit version (2.1 or 3.0), won't be tomorrow or next week but people really should stop using it.
Comment 1 Stefano Pacella (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-27 12:04:02 UTC
I put a patch in case qpkg is removed in gentoolkit.xml
lemme know what do you think about patch

Reopening, the Gentoo Developer Handbook also contains some references to qpkg
Comment 6 Tim Yamin (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-27 14:31:14 UTC

Comment 7 barthek 2005-04-28 04:43:47 UTC
hmm now that you have removed qpkg how can i list all the packages installed without their versions shown?

i used qpkg -I -nc in my batchfiles and
now I dont know how to reliably replace it ?

please advise,

What about "equery list"?

You can read equery man page or our doc about gentoolkit at http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoolkit.xml.

barthek, please, don't use bugs.gentoo.org for this type of questions. You can use forums or gentoo-user mailling list instead. Thanks.
