When I try to load gkrellm plugins for in gkrellm2.. they all fail with 
undefined symbols.

plugins designed for gkrellm do NOT work with gkrellm2. After 1.4 comes out and
the ebuild freeze is lifted, we will put some gkrellm2 plugins into the portage
tree.
