Yesterday I've updated freetype from 2.1.5-r1 to 2.1.9 and fonts in Mozillas (Firefox and Thunderbird) got very bad:

It helped to hard-mask (/etc/portage/package.mask) the 2.1.9 version and downgrade to 2.1.5. Any other more sane solution?
