Hi, 

looks like there is some progress happening in the upstream to update using notmuch2 python bindings. Could you push this forward a bit?

Hey Joonas,
I proposed a patch to afew to use the new python2 binding see https://github.com/afewmail/afew/pull/301 ,
but as those are not available widely,
it would break the package on distro that don't ship this module yet.

So it is delayed until the module is a bit more available.
