Amazingly clear instructions on how to bootstrap up from ground zero.  I hadn't heard of Gentoo until today.  For the first time I was able to build a kernel that ran on the first pass. 

I started with Red Hat 5.2 moved to Mandrake and Suse.  Learned a lot the hard way.  The writing style from Gentoo is a pleasure to read and makes configuration fun.

Actual Results:  
Remembered enough about grub to add a fourth boot choice. 

When finished I can delete Suse [Novell?] and erase Windoze byte by byte.

Expected Results:  
Oh yeah one thing was missing: the name of the kernel configuration file. 
Somehow I left out DEVFS.
