packages.gentoo.org in a HTML+CSS browser as of 2020-10-12

Accessing https://packages.gentoo.org/ today, I noticed that the style didn't load (see attached screenshot).

After force-refreshing the page and opening the console to see if it was a 404 on the stylesheet, I opened the source and saw this near the top:
<script src="/assets/stylesheets.js"></script>

Not having enabled script execution in my browser, I find it baffling that running a script would be required to load the stylesheet.

Would it be possible to use standard loading as usual?

Something like:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/assets/stylesheet.css" />

I was advised to specify my browser:
This was observed using firefox 81.0.1 with javascript.enabled = false set in about:config.
