is your /usr or /usr/local on a diff partition ? No, I only have 2 partinions, 1 for /boot and 1 for / . So /usr is part of the root filesystem. did you post the exact error ? I believe that I already stated that the error comes from modprobe, and say it cannot execute the post install command. No, I don't have the original phrasing, and I have already removed the baselayout-1.11.18 in order to eliminate to problem. Clould it be a udev problem? The root partition is definitely mounted when coldplug calls the module, so that can't be the problem. But the specific command requires a device present in /dev, that's why I have the sleep command, because there is small delay before the device node is created by the udev. I tried increasing the delay but I gave up at 5 seconds delay, beyond that the delay is just unacceptable. try it with latest versions of baselayout and udev and see if it still errors |
