gforge ebuild with support files

Description Chris Kelly 2004-12-15 05:34:54 UTC
GForge is a fork of the sourceforge code that is open source and under active development. It has over 100,000 known installs and it would be great to see an ebuild for this.

http://gforge.org/

"GForge helps you manage the entire development life cycle

GForge has tools to help your team collaborate, like message forums and mailing lists; tools to create and control access to Source Code Management repositories like CVS and Subversion. GForge automatically creates a repository and controls access to it depending on the role settings of the project. "

This is a very flaky ebuild for someone better than me to work on...I haven't
tested it.

Here is an updated gforge ebuild. It tries to work with the new webapp-config (1.50.3) program. The ebuild has a lot of rough edges, but it is a start.

Currently, it does not even attempt to set up any of the plugins or cron jobs. It does not handle database upgrades right now either; I had to do that by hand.

It does correctly install with webapp-config though. The marked database schema should be able to bootstrap a new database. Give it a try, and let's try to get this thing useable!

If someone provides an updated *plaintext* ebuild for the latest version, I'll stick it to webapps overlay. We certainly do not want any tarballs.

Thanks. Closing NEEDINFO wrt the above.
