When trying to modprobe e100 after building it, I get the following error "FATAL: Error inserting e100 (/lib/modules/2.6.9-gentoo-r9/kernel/drivers/net/e100.o): Invalid Module Format".
The system is a plain jane SMP dual p3 system.

1.emerge e100
2.modprobe e100

Inserted the module

Can you provide the output from 'dmesg | tail' 

Does the eepro100 driver work for you?

Please use the in-kernel version of this driver, and not the out-of-the-tree
version.  That version is not for the 2.6 kernel.
