All sanity-check issues have been resolved I don't use vpopmail, and actually vpopmail integration isn't supported by upstream: > VPopMail is no longer supported with dovecot and will be eventually removed. Migrating to SQL is strongly suggested. https://wiki.dovecot.org/AuthDatabase/VPopMail Here are my USE flags: [ebuild R *] net-mail/dovecot-2.3.11.3-r1::gentoo USE="bzip2 caps ipv6 pam sieve zlib zstd -argon2 -doc -kerberos -ldap -libressl -lua -lucene -lz4 -lzma -managesieve -mysql -postgres -rpc (-selinux) -solr -sqlite -static-libs -suid -tcpd -textcat -unwind -vpopmail" 0 KiB Works fine for me, and helps me to avoid installing an SQL server I don't need. (In reply to Rolf Eike Beer from comment #6) > Works fine for me, and helps me to avoid installing an SQL server I don't > need. uhm, you really should consider migrating away from vpopmail. it doesnt have to be an sql server. there are various options I still feel the same way by the way: https://bugs.gentoo.org/435452#c7 "I am not going to spend much time on this. As far as I am conceded, it is high time for vpopmail to die. It is nothing but trouble and belongs to the dusty crypts of history." I suggest masking vpopmail USE flag on new arches > uhm, you really should consider migrating away from vpopmail. it doesnt > have to be an sql server. there are various options I don't know any option to use a multi-domain qmail setup without local users and SQL server without vpopmail. > I suggest masking vpopmail USE flag on new arches Fine with me. dovecot works fine on arm64 here too. I have been using it for 2 years. Sanity check failed:
