This never happened on net-dns/bind-9.16.5 Meanwhile you can setup monit to watch the process and restart it if it's crashed to avoid manual intervention. Thanks a lot... Debug symbols could help. looks like overlay calculate has already an bind-9.16.6-r1 update: https://gpo.zugaina.org/net-dns/bind The upstream "fix"/mitigation appears to be: https://gitlab.isc.org/isc-projects/bind9/-/merge_requests/4073 I can revbump the ebuild with this patch.
