i dont know how you ran unreal tournament but if you run `ut` it should work fine ut comes bundled with a prebuilt libSDL.so and thus the system doesnt need libsdl I made a fresh gentoo install recently on my friend's PC, and installed unreal-tournament-4.5.1 there. It refused to start before I emerged libsdl (I ran "ut" from konsole). It happeneed on 2 machines already. Maybe this is specific to 4.5.1 (didn't try to install an earlier version). UT has libSDL-1.1.so.0 built in, but if I remeber correctly, ut complained about libSDL-1.2.so yes, ut 436 comes with libsdl-1.1 which it uses, but the UTPG 451 versions of ut requires libsdl-1.2 i'll update the 451 versions to require libsdl-1.2.x fixed in cvs |
