I am doing the 2004.3 liveCD installation. I am following your handbook and have come to the section. Stage 1-stage2. I am suppose to got to /usr/portage and run scripts/bootstrap.sh. How ever this file isnt there. I found a file with a similar name in /usr/portage/rsync/scripts/ This File Gives me and error thought. (!!! Error ยดยด Does not exist. Exiting) I have tried copyign the file to its folder where it was suppose to me but it gives me the same error. Perform another emerge sync. The file is in /usr/portage/scripts. If you do not have it, then your sync failed at some point. Here we go. That helped. Cheers. Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this. |
