Bug 73771 – net-nntp/pan:-0.14.2.91 often fails handshake with the newsservers

Pan started . When i'm browsing the subscribed newsgroups, after some time not predictable, it fails the handshake with the server and i can do nothing to resume the connection ( the only way to do this is to close and re-open the program ). 
Look at the Pan Log :

Notice that it fails also with other server and not only with mine. I tried the previous version ( 0.14.2) but it has the same problem.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Pan
2.Browse you favourite NG for a certain period
3.Handshake failed :(

Actual Results:  
I have to restart the application to read my NG.

Still a problem? Try w/ 0.125 and report back.
