Since I need that package also for my packages as a dep for python3.9, I was doing first tests yesterday. There is a patch from Debian: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=968399 And adapted by myself: https://github.com/ConiKost/pyxdg/commit/e5c359011b6c86858bbff4bcf5df9f1eef927306 After speaking to mgorny, this should be taken to upstream. I also unsure here, as that changes not directly the tests, but the package itself? Upstream accepted my patch.
