Could it be the case that you were running something in parallel with tests? Looks like this test is timer based aka "if something isn't fast enough - fail". I'm not sure what is the policy about such tests in gentoo. We can either disable it or add some warning about not running heavy stuff in parallel with tests of the package. Update summary.
