please retry with an updated system Thanks I vaguely recall an issue with this at the time, but I think it's long been fixed. We're up to 1.2.8 now. |
Hi, Since media-libs/alsa-lib-1.2.3* it seems that most/all unity based games (steam games) are broken. In my specific case (cities skyline) it still worked with 1.2.2 but doesn't work with 1.2.3 anymore. I made some more tests and it seems that many games are already broken with 1.2.2 too: working with 1.2.2: cities skylines crosscells not working since 1.2.2: hexcells huniepop wayout dreamfall chapters With 1.2.3 none of these games are working anymore. However, i could find the file which caused the problems. Simply renaming: /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf actually make all games playable again, however with no sound then. emerge --info Portage 2.3.103 (python 3.7.8-final-0, default/linux/amd64/17.1,
