Now that 3.1.2 has been removed from the portage tree, all matplotlib-3.* ebuilds unnecessarily hard-depend on tornado. Can we get this fixed, please? Any update on this issue? As of matplotlib-3.3.3 still pulls tornado as a hard-dependency. Manually removing this rdepend solves the issue and matplotlib works as expected.
