Here is a cut n paste of a backtrace: (17:21:56) g_log: file msn.c: line 662 (msn_close): assertion `session != NULL' failed (17:21:56) account state: signed-off (amoeba@******.com) (17:21:56) connection: Destroying connection 0x83fd6c0 I will see this message everytime I click the checkbox. I would also like to add, again...., that I even downgraded to a previous version, gaim-1.0.2-r1.ebuild (the only other version in portage), with the same results. This issue began with the newest ebuild. It also broke gaim-encryption, but that's not important (nor the issue). Created attachment 45110 [details]
Patched ebuild for gaim-1.0.3-r2
This ebuild just adds the correct nspr and nss headers to the ./configure line.

Patched ebuild for gaim-encryption-2.32-r1
If version 2.32-r1 of gaim-encryption does not compile, try this ebuild.
thanks. both worked. i'm able to connect to msn once again. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 73035 *** This was *NOT* a bug report for gaim-encryption. This was a gaim bug report as gaim would not connect to the msn network. Both gaim and gaim-encryption ebuilds had issues with incorrect nss and nspr headers. I don't understand why this is a dupe... Because the gaim-encryption problem and gaim MSN problem are both caused by the same exact issue with a bad change in the ebuild and the change in NSPR/NSS install locations. emerge sync and re-install gaim. gotcha. hope I didn't come off sounding rude. I was just curious. Cheers and thanks for the bug fix. =) |
